In this paired passage activity, students will read a poem, song, and article about the 1914 Christmas Truce and compare and contrast the three selections.
Before reading students are shown the most commonly used words in all texts and are asked to make inferences based on the words. What they will be about and asks the students to write sample sentences that may appear.
After reading students will compare and contrast the two texts and discuss the differences between the three in 20 short answer questions and charts.
Most of the answers will vary, but I have included a sample suggested answer key!
