This product consists of one activity that involves the children in finding the floor area of buildings at the North Pole. They are all rectilinear buildings and before calculating the area, pupils need to calculate the length of sides that have missing measurement information. The buildings have been deliberately drawn not to scale to encourage pupils to calculate.
The second activity is a problem solving activity where children need to find the perimeter of buildings at the North Pole.
Finally there are Christmas based word problems finding the area and perimeter of various rectilinear shapes.
An answer sheet is provided.
This version is suitable for the UK and contains metric measurements.
