If You Give a Reindeer a Recipe
(pages 73, $6.50)
This is an original story for you to use for a variety of Christmas Activities! It's called, "If You Give a Reindeer a Recipe". The story starts with Reindeer getting a recipe request from the man himself, Boss Claus. Reindeer has to travel to all his friends to get the ingredients to make the Rocky Road Ice Cream. He travels to Arctic Fox for the Almonds, Caribou for the Chocolate, etc.. There is even a spot at the end where your students are interacting with the text and must draw their picture in the story. I know your kiddos will just love this story!
There are numerous teaching moments packed into this Easy Reader! Sequencing, Retelling, Alliteration, and so much more. I've helped to bring these moments to life by including the following teaching goodies to the reader:
~5 Comprehension Printables (maps, vocabulary, sequencing)
~BONUS~ 10 printables with additional practice in sequencing, mapping, etc.
~Retelling Stick Puppets, complete with a Puppet Stage!
~Character Headbands to use with retelling and reader's theater activities
~Interactive Notebook Pockets, Books, etc. There are a handful of interactive activities that can or do not have to be put into an interactive notebook.
~Classroom book in which students have to create their own ice cream recipes. Very cute!
So this packet is filled with activities to practice numerous skills that you can tie into Christmas. The story is adorable and the graphics are perfect for it. I'm sure your kiddos will just love it and all the projects, activities, and printables. The majority of the book and activity unit is in black and white.
Highlighting Fun Christmas Edition
(23 pages, $3.75)
Raise your hand if you're scared of using highlighters with your students... My hand's raised too! I've created these printables to hopefully take care of some of our worry of having highlighter marks over everything, including desks, faces, and maybe the paper!
Included in this set of no-prep printables are 4 types of highlighting printables and each printable has a practice section at the bottom as a recap:
~Words: These printables ask the students to highlight single specific words that are presented in a fun way. They are in the shape of the word asked to be highlighted.
~Scattered Words: These printables ask the students to highlight single specific words that are presented in random order. The type of these words is larger to give the students more practice with fine motor control.
~Line Tracing: Students are asked to follow a dashed line on these printables, in hopes of teaching them to highlight a sentence maybe or a group of words.
~Sentences: These printables present the students with a sentence in which they must just highlight one specific word only, which is ultimately the final goal we're looking for.
Please keep in mind that these printables are only meant to practice highlighting only. All other skills presented are secondary to highlighting, which is the main purpose of the printables.
Hopefully these printables will give you a sigh of relief down the line when you pass out the highlighters! All these printables are Christmas related. Please see the preview for a look at all the printables included
