In my classroom I provide students with a seasonal word wall. I have found many uses for seasonal cards and words!I love creating a bulletin board for the students to refer to throughout the day. It's a great way to get early writers to use their environment as a resource! And is perfect for Limited English Learners!
Uses for this pack:
Writing Station – place the cards in the writing station. I simply place them in a pocket chart so that students can easily access them. My teaching partner hole punches the cards and places them on a ring. You can also place them on a seasonal word wall. 48 picture cards are included.
During this station, I have students write a letter, write a story, make a card or create a list. I have included pages for each of these. I have also included pages with and without a writing rubric.
ABC order – choose a few of the cards and have your students put them in order. I have included a recording page for this, too.
Read/Write the Room – a recording page is included
Sorting – Sort the cards by beginning letter, nouns (person, place thing) *a recording page is included, syllables (a recording page is included)
