PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Create instant, prep free writing stations with these 8 Christmas-themed writing sheets. Encourage your students' independent and creative writing skills by allowing them free response time with the hilarious, thought-provoking graphics that are featured on each sheet.

Not just writing pages- Quirky Christmas writing pages! Each set of pages features a quirky character(s) in an unusual and funny situation. I have not included any specific writing directions. This will allow you to set your own writing guidelines or to allow your students to let their inspiration flow freely from mind to paper.

This resource includes:
• 8 sets of writing sheets with 3 pages for each set.
• Color and black and white versions have been provided so that you may choose the format that works best for you.

Please see the preview to view the entire product- black and white version.

Format:
•Pages 1-2 are a continuation of each other. These pages are best for students that are inclined to write more.
•Page 3 is a one-page version of the writing sheet for students that may not be writing lengthy responses at this time. Or, for students that may be overwhelmed at the sight of multiple lines/pages.

Suggested Uses:
•You can provide students with directions for how you would like for them to use each writing/picture prompt.
•Allow students to look at each picture and come up with their own scenarios and/or dialogue.

Here are a few examples of directions that you might provide/suggest:
•Using the page that has the fragmented snowman- "Look at the picture. Write a story to tell what could have happened to the snowman. Be creative! Add lots of details, juicy adjectives, and feisty verbs. Have fun".
• On the page with Santa and the Thanksgiving Turkey, you could ask students to tell what they think Santa is saying to the turkey.
•On the sheet where there is a thought cloud that features Santa, Rudolph, and a present, have students draw a picture of who is having this delightful daydream. Then, have students create a story surrounding those events.

It is my hope that your classroom environment will gain a little extra sparkle this holiday season. As long as your students are motivated to use their imagination, the possibilities are endless!
