In Winter Math Centers:
1.) Freezing Factors - students draw a card and list the factors of the number on the card
2.) Snowman Operation - 4 centers in 1! Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of decimals. The student recording sheet makes it easy to separate the skills you want to include. You could easily differentiate for your students or separate the skills into 4 separate centers. Each set of cards includes 8 problems.
3.) Winter Word Problems - 8 rigorous word problems covering a variety of CC standards. Many problems are multi-step.
4.) Chilly Division Game - includes 5 game mats and 3 pages of division cards. Students draw a card and divide two powers of ten (ie 2,000 / 40). Students cover matching answers on their game mats with a counter (counters included).
5.) Candy Shop Fractions - 5 pages of printables; 2 pages review 4th grade CCSS for differentiation and classes that have no yet covered fraction concepts.
6.) Multiplication Mittens - 12 multiplication mittens with self checking answer cards. A recording sheet is included as well for students to use as scrap paper and keep students accountable for independent work.
In Christmas Math Centers -
1.) Santa's Trains - order of operations practice including parentheses, exponents, dividing powers of ten, multiplying multi-digit whole numbers; this is a self checking activity
2.) Ugly Sweater Place Value Patterns - students practice finding "ten times" and "1/10 of" whole numbers and decimals by using their knowledge of place value; students also practice working with exponents to represent powers of ten
3.) Converting Measurements - students convert measurements within a given system (centimeters to millimeters, tons to pounds); reference cards included
4.) Ink Saving Printables - 5 printable worksheets- no laminating or cutting required. Students practice finding the least common multiple, adding and subtracting fractions with unlike denominators, operating with whole numbers, operating with decimals, and rounding decimals. Great for differentiating work for students based on need!
