Many of my ECSE students were working on yes/no questions, therefore, I created an Christmas in July themed activity to work on this goal! Some speech and language impaired children may be working on this question-type later than typically developing children, therefore, when setting the grade level I chose PreK-1st. When writing the yes/no questions, I tried to use concepts that were appropriate to these grade levels as well.
In order to use this activity: print, cut, and laminate the cards. Then, ask the child(ren) the question on each card. The child(ren) can either verbalize "yes" or "no" in response to the question or point to the yes/no symbols (a green check mark or a red cancel sign).
