This activity was designed to be a simple, no-prep craft activity to target articulation in an engaging way. These pages are no-prep (print & go). This pack includes the following sounds: initial/final: p, b, m; final: n, t, d; initial/medial/final: k, g, f, v, l, s, z, ch, j, th, sh; pre-vocalic r; vocalic r (er, ar, or, air, ear, ire); rblends; lblends; sblends (separate mats for sp, st, sm, sn, sk, sl, sw, mixed). First practice, then make Christmas lights! I also included an open-ended page that can be used with any goal (just use your own card deck/app/materials).
Materials Needed: Ink pad or paint (multi-color is my favorite) & Christmas Lights Thumbprint pages,
Optional Assembly: You can also place in a sheet protector or laminate to use with play dough.
To use: The student will practice the target word and then make a thumbprint Christmas light on the string. The student will place their thumb on an ink pad and then stamp it over the target word on the bulb. The therapist will determine the number or trials per spider.
(you can also use fingerprints)
Variations:
Use play dough to smash to make the lights.
Use bingo chips to place over the lights.
