Product Description
Here's a little Christmas goodie from ME to YOU :) I'm so honored that you're considering my products for your therapy!

Use these 35 irresistible and emotional Santa and Gingerbread Man cards to play Cariboo and talk about emotions/feelings, causes of feelings, and coping strategies! Change them out to suit your students’ needs. There are enough cards for TWO sets of Cariboo cards (either all Gingerbread Man, all Santa or combine them)

Print and cut all cards. Trim them as needed to fit in YOUR Cariboo game (some versions are Cariboo have slightly different sized doors). Put the cards with the Santa and/or the Gingerbread man images on the game doors in place of the standard Cariboo cards (or mix them up!) MORE than enough cards are included so that you can pick and choose based on your students’ ages and targeted emotions.

To play Cariboo, stack the cards that contain the names of the emotions. Players should pick a card with the name of an emotion FIRST. They should then scan the images on the Cariboo doors and tell you which one they think portrays the emotion they chose. Players can only open a Cariboo door if they can find a door that has a picture that depicts that emotion. If it’s questionable, have the student explain WHY they feel the picture depicts the chosen emotion. Only AFTER the student responds to the question or task on the card (What may have may him feel this way, What can he do now, etc.), does he or she earn the right to open the corresponding door. If there is none, that student’s turn is over. * As with typical Cariboo play, if the student finds a ball, he/she gets to deposit it. Whomever gets the treasure chest to open is the winner!

DON’t HAVE CARIBOO? That’s okay!! You can still use this freebie! 1) Put all Gingerbread Man and Santa cards facedown in deck. Have students pick a card and describe the emotion, infer and tell why he feels this way or talk about a time he/she felt that way. You could even have them write a short story about what may have happened to the emotional guy!
2) For another way to play, put all emotion cards face up on a table. Then have student pick an emotion card and then find the Christmas dude that matches the emotion on the card (and respond to the card). If he/she does so appropriately, let him have the Santa or Gingerbread card he described. If you want to make it a competition, whoever collects the most cards win.

If you download, please leave feedback! Your encouragement and feedback is what keeps me creating :))
