This is a Wh-question game with Christmas-themed questions (Christmas-themed meaning "Santa", NOT religious). The game play is much like Candyland, and is meant to help kids practice basic question types, in addition to How and some Yes/No questions. I made this for my students in speech therapy, although it would work well for any other preschool / Kindergarten / Special education settings!
CONTENTS (all PDF):
•63 Question cards - 9 for each of the following question types (1 of the 9 cards is blank so you can make your own): Who, What, Where, When, Why, How, Can/Do/Is
•21 burnt out bulb cards
•4 Game Tokens
1.Cut out and laminate all items.
2.Shuffle the cards and place them next to the board.
3.Choose a game token and place it on START.
4.On your turn, choose a card and answer the question OR follow the instructions on a “Burnt out bulb” card.
5.Then, move to the next space that matches the picture on the card.
6.Whoever gets to the FINISH bulb first is the winner (the finish bulb counts as any color).
7.Optional rule: You only get to move if you answered the question correctly.
8.Optional: Write your own questions on the blank cards.
I hope you enjoy! Any feedback and or comments are welcomed!
I have a pragmatics version of this game posted, as well.
