Have you ever asked one of your littles ones to tell you the name of the first president of the United States of America, and he or she says: “Christopher Columbus!”
Hopefully, my Christopher Columbus materials will help young children to distinguish between the two! I’ve created a small book for children to color and read independently! There is a color and a B&W version. I’ve kept the text very easy, to motivate my students to re-read it often and therefore, increase memory retention.
I’ve also included an adorable craft of Christopher Columbus and his ship sailing across the Atlantic Ocean. The kids use a paper plate with a slit around the edge to “sail” the boat! They really do love this project!
This is the perfect unit for TK or kindergarten, and I added a few more pages with writing prompts for use in first grade too! There is a total of 40 pages, but remember there are copies in B&W and color so there are several duplicates. I think you’ll love this product but be sure to take a glimpse at the preview!
Thank you for stopping by Kindergarten with Susie. It would mean the world to me if you would rate my product and leave me a comment. Your thoughts motivate me to create and modify my products. You can’t imagine the thrill I feel when someone sends me a comment! I hope to hear from you soon!
