This is a packet filled with Literacy Center activities that your kids can do independently or you can do them together as a class. Skills included are:
Alphabetizing: Putting Words in ABC order and recording on a recording sheet. There are two sets of words. One is for alphabetizing to the first letter and one set is for looking at the second letter.
Syllables: Looking at 1, 2, and 3 syllable words, counting the syllables and recording them on the recording sheets.
Sentence Scramble: Looking at mixed up words and forming sentences out of them. Record on recording sheet after.
Puncutation Activity: Children will learn when to use a period, question mark or exclamation mark. They will read sentences about Christopher Columbus and put the correct puncutation at the end of the sentences.
Short Vowels Sorting: Students will look at words with short vowels. They will sort them into piles with the same ending chunk. They will record on recording sheet.
Each skill includes 1 or more posters to describe what the skill is.
