This is an 8 page introduction written at an upper elementary school reading level on Christopher Columbus. 10 questions are included at the end as open response/responding to reading questions. Visuals are given to illustrate the positive and negative effects of the Columbian Exchange and the "truth" about Columbus wiping out an entire population of Natives (the Tainos) on the island of San Salvador, Bahamas. Students will gather both positive and negative effects of Columbus's voyages to the New World and conclude for themselves if Columbus was a hero...or not.
