This activity includes the short story "Shadow Lake" by John Muir, two sets of sentence strips and an answer key. The answer is the strips in order of answers prior to cutting them. One strip is also in rainbow color sequence to aid struggling students.
Activity should be used by reading the story and then allowing students to analyze the strips and create a flow chart with the strips in order as they occur. Works great for collaborative group work.
Challenge is some strips are considered a flashback to a memory and therefore does not simply follow the written words of passage.
Suggest strips be laminated prior to cutting but not required.
