This one to two week chronology unit teaches children how to think in terms of time (past, present, and future) with worksheets and activities.
This unit includes:
-a teaching poster for past, present, future with a follow-up worksheet that can be individualized for girls and boys.
-two independent practice worksheets for the past
- two independent practice worksheets for the present
- two independent practice worksheets for the future
-an interactive notebook activity (or can be used on construction paper)
-a blank timeline
-a blank calendar with follow-up worksheet
-a sorting activity
-a group activity about birthdays
-a past, present, future worksheet
*answer keys are included for all worksheets that apply
This unit addresses the following standards.
-Identify temporal sequences such as days, weeks, months, years, and seasons.
-Describe and measure calendar time by days, weeks, months, and years.
-Create a calendar.
-Correctly use words and phrases related to time (now, in the past, in the future).
-Distinguish among past, present, and future.
-Identify terms and designations of time sequence.
-Use terms related to time to sequentially order events that have occurred in school, home, or community.
-Create a timeline based on the student's life or school events.
