Cinco de Mayo board game and reading passage
This is a board game based off of the Battle of Puebla that Cinco de Mayo is famous for. Your students can reenact the battle while learning about the history of this holiday. Students read about the history behind Cinco de Mayo, and must answer questions correctly in order to move their pieces or attack their opponent.
Much more fun than reading a short article and answering questions!
It can be played with two students, or a small group of students split into two teams. Each student/team plays the part of the French army or the Mexican army.
