For this Cinco de Mayo math center, I printed and laminated a set of cards for each child in the center. I placed the cards on binder rings. Each child also gets a copy of the record sheet. The student looks at the picture and writes an addition or subtraction sentence to match, then writes the letter of the correct choice from the card.
This center focuses on Kindergarten and First Grade Common Core Operations and Algebraic Thinking skills, and also helps my students become accustomed to choosing the correct answer from a few choices (this comes in handy when they start to take tests!)
