Hola! Cinco de Mayo is a fun holiday to celebrate with your students! I created this fun mini unit to go along with the holiday. Here your students will do 5 crafts and one writing one!
Here's what's inside:
*Mexican boy wearing a sombrero
**You can have your students create the sombrero for themselves, too. Just assemble and have them glue it on a sentence strip! :)
-----*Pictures of crafts are all included*-----
-"Hola" mini poster
-Facts about Cinco de Mayo
-Facts about Mexico
-Vocabulary picture cards: maracas, Mexico, Mexican flag, taco, pinata, sombrero
-Compare and contrast Mexico and My Country
-"Speak Spanish" -(Laminate word cards) Students will sort out the cards and match the English and Spanish words together. Then record their answers on the recording sheet.
