Cinco de Mayo (May 5th) is celebrated in many states. A misconception is that it is a celebration of Mexico Independence Day (which is actually September 16th). Cinco de Mayo is the celebration of the Mexican victory of the Battle of Puebla against the French.
Within these 20 math problems students will hear about some of the traditional events that occur during many Cinco de Mayo celebrations.
