After not finding many choices for a writing activity for Cinco de Mayo for my 1st graders, I decided to create my own. I have included three templates:
1. Numbered: Students write 3 sentences (great for younger/lower-leveled students)
2. Lined: There are lines for the students to write on, but no specific amount of sentences that need to be written (great for older students and creative writers)
3. Blank: A blank space for writing or drawing (great for younger students to draw instead, or for older students to have more space to write)
Each template features a blank Mexican character that the students can design however they choose to. I have also included some samples from my 1st graders last year to give you an idea of how I used it in my class.
Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions for the product. Thank you!
