Using vocabulary in context is an IEP goal for many of my elementary and middle school students. This writing frame helps students to use vocabulary in context as they learn about the Cinco de Mayo.
I begin by activating students’ prior knowledge of Cinco de Mayo. Then, I have students fill out this writing frame using words from the Word Bank. Next, we discuss the writing frame and finally the students copy the writing frame or type it for additional practice.
Pair this writing frame with the Cinco de Mayo: Listening for Details cards to address more IEP goals.
These 3 pages are in black and white so save your colored ink.
