Cinderella is one of the oldest and most popular fairytales ever written. This loved story has been told all around the world in many different cultures. This literature study engages students in the many different versions of Cinderella throughout the world. Aligned to the Common Core standards, this unit includes a table of contents, teacher reading guides for each book, ongoing activity guides for completing throughout the book, activity guides with black line masters, culminating projects, writing activities, constructed response, and more. Several Common Core standards are included such as compare and contrast; characters, setting, and plot; problem and solution; beginning, middle, and end; recount/retell stories; asking questions (who, what, when, where, why, how); and opinion/persuasive writing. These activities provide depth and rigor allowing students to use evidence from the texts. This literature unit engages students in reading as they gain a deeper understanding of the stories and master common core standards.
