### PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

In my Geometry class, I stress vocabulary more than anything! There are so many words to learn!

This file contains Match-Up Cards, Task Cards, Mini Cake Project, and Concentration Game, Pizza Activity, and MathDoku, all pertaining to Circles. Check out the documents individually in my store, or buy them all here. Items included are \$13.50 in value!

Take a look at the descriptions below.
Cake Mania Mini Project
This project has students make a circular cake and illustrate 10 parts of a circle using different candies/sweets.

The document contains complete directions, a space for a cake illustration as shown in the photo (students must illustrate their actual cake, showing the candies/sweets they used), and a concept chart (students use complete sentences to define all of their parts of the circle and identify the candy used for each).

The students love this activity and I do too. Anything involving food is always a winner! I have used this as a end of chapter project and I have used it as an extra credit activity. Either way, I have students present their project to the class. After projects are presented, everyone digs in!

I am always amazed by the creativity of the students. In the past, I have seen students use Twizzlers as their tangent and Extra Long Twizzlers for their secant. Most all students use their frosting as area. It is pretty incredible what they come up with!!
Central/Inscribed Concentration
Students must match each inscribed angle to their corresponding central angle, using measures ONLY. Angles on cards are all the same size so that students must know their circle angle properties and can't just look at size to make matches. Contains 20 inscribed angles and 20 central angles with measures labeled on each.
Mamma Mia!
In this activity, students use area of circles to discover better pizza deals. I begin this activity by fooling students with a fake pizza deal (trust me, most all of them are always fooled!). I then show them how area of circles proves my case.

Students must work in pairs to create their own advertisement that would fool customers, just as they were fooled. They must provide a write up with their ad showing how they used area of circles. A complete example is shown on the worksheet for them.

In this document, I have included teacher notes on how I begin the activity.
