This set of three matching activities will help strengthen your students' knowledge about circles and the relationships between different measurements. Each matching activities comes with 24 pairs each (48 cards total for each matching activity).
Students will discover or practice going back and forth between circumference and diameter, area and radius, and diameter and radius.
There are so many ways you can use this activity in your classroom. It works great for students to simply match up if you need a quick, low explanation activity. I like to use it for students to partner up. As an extra challenge, only give the calculator to one half of the card holders (e.g. for the circumference and diameter activity, only give calculators to the students with the circumference cards).
**Remind students that because pi is an irrational number, all the matching activities will not be exact matches to each other, but they should at least look for 3.14**
Answer keys are always included.
