This collection of assignments is a very straightforward, quick way to teach geometry students about circles. If you have very little time left before an End of Course Test and have not covered circles this would be helpful. There is a daily assignment for each of the first four days, a warm-up review for days two through five and a test for day five. Answers are included.
Diameter, radius, secant and tangent lines to circles, chord, minor arcs, major arcs, semicircles, measures of arcs, inscribed angles and their measures, other angles in circles formed by chords, secants and tangents.
Theorems (loosely stated!) used:
Tangent segments from the same exterior point are congruent.
A tangent is perpendicular to a radius.
A diameter perpendicular to a chord bisects the chord and its arc.
Opposite angles in an inscribed quadrilateral are supplementary.
