Are you ready for big fun under the Big Top? A circus unit is a great way to teach colors, shapes, counting and much more! A reproducible clown face provides the cover for a circus writing book. Two pages of flash cards, and a page of flash card game ideas, introduce the students to all of the exciting performers they will soon meet through these great activities. They can create a moveable circus figure and choose who they want to be in the show: the ringmaster, a clown, a jugglar, a lion, a seal, a horse, the strong man, and others.
There are patterns for clown, performing bear and elephant paper bag puppets. We have included bulletin board border to decorate the classroom and elephant stationery to create stories. Other activities include a twirling acrobat, a funny clown with fan-folded limbs, a stackable ice-cream cone, a circus wagon, colorful balloons, and more!
We have also included a detailed list of acts and costume ideas so your students can perform and create their very own circus in the classroom! They can now all be class clowns!
Each page is available as black & white student reproducibles as well as full color teacher samples!
