Your students will stay engaged as they practice their derivatives of logarithmic and exponential functions. This is a 24-question circuit, and to advance in the circuit students must search for the first derivative of the given function. When they find the answer, that becomes the next problem. My students love this format and rarely get up when the bell rings if they are working on a circuit!
This circuit involves a good bit of chain rule, includes some functions whose base is not e, includes a few trig functions, and even an inverse tangent towards the end.
In some ways this circuit is no prep in that all the teacher has to do is work it ahead of the students to see how the ideas unfold. Great for review, independent work, guided notes, a scavenger hunt, you name it!
The answer key is not included because it is part of the circuit.
Note: My colleagues and I check these circuits very carefully, but should you ever find a mistake, please let me know!
