Keep your students engaged with the circuit format! This circuit contains 20 factoring quadratic trinomial problems where a = 1 and c is positive. I wrote this for some of my struggling algebra one students who need more practice with c positive before we move into c negative. Students must factor and then hunt for ONE of their factors to advance in the circuit. The expressions get progressively more difficult, so it is great for differentiated instruction. There are three simple area / perimeter problems towards the end! The format motivates students to practice and it also requires them to ask questions when they get stuck. My students lean over and help each other effortlessly when they are working in the circuit format.
The answer key is not included because it is embedded in the circuit. The only thing the teacher must do is work the circuit ahead of time. The circuit and the students take care of the rest!
