I was inspired by the new PSAT questions as I wrote this circuit. The 16 questions will give your students practice with linear and quadratic expressions and functions, including key ideas such as slope and maximum value. To advance in the circuit, students must hunt for their answer among the remaining choices. When they find their answer, that becomes the next problem to work. This keeps my students highly engaged!
You can use this as anything from pre-assessment (allow 20-30 minutes, depending on the students) to guided practice. It can be made into task cards or even a scavenger hunt. Of course you could allow calculators if students will be taking ACT. Just tailor it to your state and students' needs!
I do not include answer keys with my circuits because the answers are imbedded in the circuit. All the teacher needs to do is work the circuit ahead of the students.
My circuits are throughly checked, but if you ever find a mistake, or have other feedback for me, please get in touch!
