Give your students engaging practice with the circuit format! This circuit contains 12 problems to help students gain experience with position, displacement, velocity, acceleration, and total distance traveled. Students begin in the first cell and then must work the problem and search for their answer. This next problem where their answer is becomes problem 2.
For this circuit, students will need to have experience taking the derivative and evaluating definite integrals. Students will also need to use technology on several of the problems for either finding intercepts or evaluating the integral.
This circuit can be used for cooperative work, guided notes, or even a scavenger hunt. I usually use circuits when I teach a topic about 70% of the way and want them to "own" the rest. They start in in class and is turned in the next day as an assignment.
My students love this format. They do not leave their desks when the bell rings and they make comments such as " I would do all of my homework if it was a circuit."
Would be great as a review before the AP Calculus exam!
There is no answer key included because the answers are part of the circuit.
