This high quality guide is the perfect way to create a cross-curricular experience for your grades 4-8 students. I created these reading passages to support reading instruction in my science classroom. It is a perfect way to supplement a unit on the circulatory system. The guide includes three one-page nonfiction reading passages focused on the circulatory system with comprehension questions. In addition, each passage is paired with a nonfiction reading skill worksheet. Each reading skill is aligned with the common core. They are perfect for use in a science classroom that is looking to support reading instruction that is taking place in the reading/language arts classroom. Or they can be used by a reading/language arts teacher who would like high quality reading passages that dovetail with instruction taking place in the science classroom. The nonfiction reading skills worksheets can be used independently of the reading passages included in this guide so they can be used again and again to reinforce good nonfiction reading habits in your students.

Each combination of reading passage + comprehension questions + nonfiction reading skills passage should bake about 30 minutes for your students to complete.

This is a No Prep! Print and Go! resource, perfect for the days when you need a quick activity that is ready to go.
