A student favorite! This two-week unit begins with an overview of all the human body systems. The focus ends up being on the circulatory and respiratory systems. Each PowerPoint comes with notes pages (on Word) with blanks for the students to fill in. There is an assignment for each of the systems that summarizes their understanding. Also included is a station lab (one file as the instructions, one for data gathering) where students will investigate various aspects of their own circulatory and respiratory systems. This gets them out of their seats and literally gets their hearts pumping! The unit finishes up with a three part project where your students will construct a 3D model of an organ of their choice, a poster that describes their organ, and a presentation to their classmates. Each segment has it's own rubric for clarity. There are two versions of the cumulative test - one regular, and one modified.
