Students will need to find the circumference and/or the area of a circle for each problem. Some of the problems require students to find circumference when given area, and vice versa. There are 12 stations.
The problems are of various difficulty. Make sure these problems are appropriate for your students - download the preview and look at the thumbnails to see problem examples.
You can choose to use only SI (metric) units or a mixture of metric and customary units.
Stations mazes are great because they get students up and moving around the room. They also encourage students to check their work carefully since an incorrect answer will eventually send them back to a problem they have already solved. Successfully completing the maze requires students to slow down and check their work.
This activity can be completed individually or in pairs. A student answer sheet is included. Two versions of the maze are included: color and black and white. The differences are shown in the thumbnails. Some of the stations give the option of students giving the answers in decimal for or in terms of pi.
