This quick and simple activity is perfect for introducing or reviewing the relationship between the circumference and diameter of a circle. Includes four circle cards, activity page, rubric, and instructions with images.
In this activity, students will use pipe cleaners or yarn to measure the distance around a circle. They will also measure the diameter. Next, they will share their findings in a group and develop a statement about the relationship between circumference and diameter. Students can also work on this activity alone.
