This unit was created to use with my 6th grade class to cite textual evidence to support analysis using Langston Hughes' "Thank You Ma'am" short story. The fun part is that kids analyze their own personalities first and then tie it to career choice. Then the magic begins as they analyze the two characters in the story and try to determine the personality type of one or both characters. I have used this at many levels from 6-12. I added optional activities, including a writing assignment. This can last 3 days or up to 7 days depending on the level of complexity and if you use the optional activities. All worksheets are included except a copy of the story that can be acquired online for free. I included the 6th grade ELA common core standards.
