Citing Evidence is a major part of the Common Core State Standards. This activity has the students practice the difference between paraphrasing versus quoting. It introduces them to in-text citations and a works cited page using a short research activity based upon the students individual names. It is high-interest and a good way to introduce this concept to your students.
