By using this activity, your students will be able to practice strategies on supporting their claims after reading text. Learners can use any fictional text and create a thesis based off their findings. Then, they are able to provide three pieces of textual evidence to support their thesis. To differentiate, teachers can provide either their claim (on the left) or one to two of their pieces of textual evidence. Your learners will be able to use this during a large group lesson, small groups, centers, or independent work. Happy learning!
