This product is the final exam I use in my civics classes for Semester 1. The topics covered include:
- The Formation of the United States
- The Roots of American Democracy
- The Constitution
- The Bill of Rights
- Citizenship and Government in a Democracy
- The Branches of Government
- Political Parties
The exam lists the standards covered, exam expectations and has different question types which include: multiple choice, matching, short answer, completion of a Venn Diagram (compares authoritarian and democratic governments) and a self-assessment. The self-assessment piece asks students to look over the exam and identify one question they know they did well on and one that they struggled with. They then need to provide reasoning. The other 2 self-assessment questions ask students to look at their performance overall throughout the semester. There is a writing rubric included as well.
If you have Spanish-speaking students and would like a copy of the exam in Spanish I would be happy to send it to you via email once I have seen your purchase of the English exam. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Happy Teaching and Learning!
