Would you like to increase your students' ability to learn and remember new and challenging words? If so, then it has to be visual. With close to 90% of our working memory devoted to the storage of images, it just makes sense to teach vocabulary visually. This presentations provides an introduction to the Open Court Reading selection which activates prior knowledge and builds background. It then presents each new word with a visual, a sentence to build the ability to read context clues, and the definition. At the end are the recommended OCR spelling and dictation sentences. I have used these presentations for years, and with every class they have yielded success! Give one a try, I know you will like it. Thank you, Steve
