I made this journal for students to follow along in the book. It was created using elements of Universal Design: Gifted students, SP-Ed students, visual learners, partner work and independent work is built right in. There is a section for the bigger ideas, like theme and metaphors, and parts of just a list of literal and inferential questions. I designed it to give the teacher maximum flexibility: The graphic organizer can lead itself to reading reflections on a separate sheet; The lists can lead itself to literature circles or homework assignments to keep students accountable. I have used it with my class for two different years now, so this is tweaked to perfection now!
Also, threw in some depth and complexity icons of Gifted Education for good measure!!
