Product Description

In this standards-aligned assessment, students will identify a current social issue and advise the president on how he might use his executive powers to address the issue. Students have the opportunity to prove their understanding of the executive powers and how those powers are influenced by political matters. It's an excellent culminating project for those studying the three branches of government or current events in the United States. This rigorous and engaging task lends itself to easy teacher adaptations for issues, standards, and even formatting, especially because this resource is Google Drive-compatible. It includes a template to guide students through the thinking process, and its hyperlinked resources are freely available.
