This Civics activity is a fun way to incorporate music and the amendments! I open class discussing parodies and reference the suffrage parody (link is on the worksheet) that they love. Most of my students end up remembering the chorus so I discuss how music and memories go hand in hand. As a group, they will take an appropriate song (I let them pick) and turn it into a song about one of their amendments. I actually allow my students to perform it as an opportunity for bonus points. It is a lot of fun and a great way for students to be creative with the amendments.
