Product Description
I use this with "Antigone," but it can be used in so many different units. The mini-lesson is a powerpoint that has an explanation/discussion set-up about civil disobedience. Then it includes critical thinking questions to find in the text of "A Letter From Birmingham Jail." Ideally, this activity works well for partners to do a close reading on the two page excerpt then identify the paragraphs where the questions are "answered" in his letter.

His letter can be found online for free, but I have included the two pages I use along with the boxes marking off each paragraph.
