This is an amazing Think-Pair-Share activity I created to start off my Civil Rights unit. The students are asked 9 thought-provoking questions. They answer them on their own, share their responses with a partner, record their partner's ideas, then we shared as a class. These questions can be used for any unit dealing with diversity. I have used these same questions for a Holocaust Unit as well. At the end of the activity there are 9 statements that work perfectly for a 4-corners activity or for a human continuum activity (put "agree" on one end of the room,"disagree" on the other end of the room, and then you have students line up based on their level of agreeing). Great activity to kick off a unit!!
