This activity can be used during a Civil Rights unit in U.S. History or as a review activity at the end of a Civil Rights unit.
I use this activity with my Civil Rights History and United States History students. My students really enjoy the activity. I use this activity as a review activity. I usually have my students play multiple rounds.
There are two matches for each card. Your task is to find the matches to your cards as quickly as possible. Once you find your matching cards, share them with your teacher. If your matches are correct, your teacher will keep your cards. If you are not correct, your teacher will hand back your cards. The first person to get rid of all three cards “wins.”
If time permits, when everyone is out of cards, shuffle and redistribute the cards making sure everyone gets a “name card,” “mini-bio card,” and “task card.” Play another round.
This bundle includes 24 name cards, 24 mini-bio cards, 24 task cards, and answer keys.
