This Civil Rights Movement Overview offers a comprehensive and informative 37 slide PowerPoint which teaches students about the most important elements of the Civil Rights Movement. That includes Jackie Robinson, Brown vs. Board, Sit Ins, James Meredith, Voting Rights, and a lot more of the events and people that helped the Civil Rights movement take shape in the 50s and 60s.
Also included is a 2 page Worksheet which reviews the topics and individuals discussed in the PowerPoint.
I use these materials with my middle school science classes but they can be modified easily to suit any grade level.
