These classroom posters are intended as an extension of my FREE Civil Rights Movement Word Posters
. Each artistic image is created with words and depicts a leader or memorable moments of the civil rights movement.
These posters are perfect for Black History Month or any civil rights unit, but they are visually appealing enough that they could also make great year-long classroom decorations.
Some of the images in the pack are used repetitively, but each has a different color scheme and highlights different words. Choose the ones you like the most to print and hang.
The pack includes:
11 posters featuring Martin Luther King Jr.
6 posters featuring Malcolm X
3 posters featuring the Montgomery Bus Boycott and Rosa Parks
NOTE: I recognize that many people see Malcolm X as a controversial character (and you might consider that before hanging that particular poster in your classroom), but I think his view represents a historically important part of the overall civil-rights movement, and so it would be wrong to exclude him simply because he may not be seen as politically correct as Martin Luther King or Rosa Parks.
Posters come as high-resolution PNG files that can be resized and printed at whatever size you want.
