PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Civil War

“Civil War” is a Social Studies unit composed of six lessons, each of which focuses on a different aspect of the American Civil War. There is an introduction lesson, as well as a performance task to conclude the unit. The introduction includes a pacing guide, vocabulary poster, and a vocabulary poster lesson outline. Answer keys and scoring guides, along with many photographs are included throughout the unit. The six lessons within the unit are:

BONUS ACTIVITY INCLUDED: “Battlefields” is a bonus activity you can do with your students as time and interest permit. If you live in a state, such as I do, where there were battles fought during the Civil War, you can have your students create a map of the significant battles in your state.

Suggestions for how to use the activities in this lesson with an interactive notebook are also included. The 3D graphic organizers will fit within the pages of a standard composition notebook. However, the lesson is designed so that it can also be used without such notebooks.
