This digital breakout is aligned to the new GSE SS8H5B covering: Union Blockade of the Southern Coast, Emancipation Proclamation, Battle of Chickamauga, Sherman's Atlanta Campaign, Sherman's March the Sea, and Andersonville Prison. This product can be used for enrichment or as a creative way for students to gather notes.
This virtual scavenger hunt has students working collaboratively & problem-solve. It is student-led and students WILL struggle to find answers! The goal is for them to work together and communicate effectively as a team to figure out the codes. Students will use various links to solve the codes. The codes for this game are embedded in websites, puzzles, videos, maps and color-coded question/answer forms.
This digital breakout requires a digital device (iPad, laptop, Chrome Book etc.), internet access, access to google forms/sheets/drives (you can make a dummy account for students who do not have a google account) but does not require any physical breakout boxes or locks.
This activity can take anywhere from one to several days depending on your students and how you use the activity. Suggested uses are included in the Teacher Instructions in the purchased product.
