This resource covers the highlights of the Civil War, including the Anaconda Plan, the blockade, Antietam, the Emancipation Proclamation, Vicksburg, Gettysburg, the Atlanta Campaign, March to the Sea, and Andersonville Prison. (It's aligned to GSE SS8H5 b, Georgia Studies! But it's also a great overview for teachers not in Georgia.)

Students will read through ten "briefings" that help them learn about the Civil War. There are six interactive notebook pages (which can be printed and made into a report, glued into a notebook, or used digitally!) that allow students to process the information in a creative way.

(GA teachers: Click here for Warm-Ups for this element, as well as H5a!)
